JAWS Anemometer and Profiler Data
JAWS anemometer and profiler data in
netCDF
format are available for download from
here.
This location lists the netcdf files that are available.
Each file contains data from one day and one site. The first 7 characters in
each filename are the year and the day of the year, e.g., 2005105 would be April
15, 2005. The last two characters of the filename is the site id as shown
in the table.
Profiler site names are preceded by either an 'L' or an 'H'.
- The 'L' files contain horizontal and vertical wind data up to about 2400 meters altitude.
- The 'H' files contain vertical wind data and signal to noise ratio up to about 8000 meters altitude. Note that these files may not be available until mid 2011.
